December 1st

Someone in my MATS group posted about the   #adventchallenge2014 and I thought it sounded fun. Not sure how many of the days I can manage to find the time for it, but today i did. So my December 1st:  Santa’s hat.

Week 5 party paper – Make art that sells

The last and final week of Make Art That Sell is over, and it’s time to breathe. The last week were Party papers, and we were to design a plate inspired by local flowers we gathered during the mini assignment. For some reason, the word flower, just blocked me, until I realized that I could add some characters and get a little storytelling into the piece. I sat down and began to draw flowers, well mostly leaves since its late fall here in Denmark, and all of a sudden this cat popped up, and he was giggling over a little fish wearing mittens, and swimming in the raindrop – and then I knew I had my design for the assignment.

week 4 – Editorial Make Art That Sells

Week 4 in Lilla Rogers class, matsB – Editorial. Assignment this week were to draw a map of your hometown or a town you loved. Since those two options actually  are the same for me, I did a map over my own tiny town.

I had a lot of fun, coming up with icons and fitting them together. Since my town really is tiny, and the only thing it has going for it,  is a lot of nature I opted to group everything together in a more artistic interpretation.

Birthday invitation

While waiting for this week’s mini assignment for my art class, I decided to get the birthday invitation for my son’s party done. This month is so crazy busy, so I was so happy when to other moms suggested that we joined forces and collaborated on a birthday party for our kiddies this upcoming Sunday. I’ve been meaning to make an illustration for the invitation for the past two weeks, but just didn’t have the time until this morning. My son liked it, and I’m pretty happy with it myself, and it was nice to work on something with a very loose brief.
