going back to watercolors
It’s been years, with a few exceptions, since I’ve been painting entirely with watercolors without adding some digital work afterwards. I think I’ll be doing more work like that, its actually relaxing compared to doing digital work…and there’s something special to get paint on your fingers (…and hands, and arms…. )
The Happy piglet
The piglet was happy. The sun was shining, he got a brand new kite, and the wind was just right…
a painting a day….
I’m taking the day off today. Well not really, but by that I mean I’m just playing rather than creating something for a specific purpose. I’ve found that going through a couple of weeks of intense work, I tend to burn out, and need to recharge to get my creativity flowing again. And what i found is, that whenever the ideas stops flowing, I need to step back, and just pick up my pencils and try new ways of creating art – It doesn’t matter if I end up just splashing paint around all day, and the the only thing I have to show, at the end of the day is a bunch of splotches. The important part is that I crated something, and usually I discover new techniques that i later end up using in my daily work.
